Namba is where the Midosuji, Sennichimae and Yotsubashi lines meet, and Nippombashi, on the Sakaisuji and Sennichimae lines, is a short walk east. It is the middle of Minami, the southern half of the city centre. Dotonbori is 271 m from the station and Hozenji 157 m, with Hozenji Yokocho beside it. The arcades run from Namba City and Namba Nannan under the station out to Soemoncho. The comedy is here as well, at Namba Grand Kagetsu and the Osaka Shochikuza, and the prefecture keeps its archive of Kamigata comedy and performing arts in the same few streets.
