御津公園(三角公園)

The landmark of Amerikamura, the quarter that raised young people's culture in Kansai, and one of the places where they arrange to meet. This triangle of leftover roadside land, laid out after the war and called Mitsu Gaien, came into the light from the 1970s and grew familiar as Sankaku Koen, the triangle park, as Amerikamura grew. In recent years young manzai comedians have made a fixture of performing for nothing, treating the young people walking past as their audience. The old Kogaryu takoyaki shop across from the park, which began the practice of criss-crossing mayonnaise over takoyaki, always has a queue. Eating takoyaki while listening to a young duo's manzai is something the triangle park alone offers.
