About

NAMBA Nannan, in Namba 5-chome in Chuo-ku, is known as the pioneer of Osaka's underground shopping arcades and belongs to Minami. When the adjoining Namba Marui opened, it went through a second full refurbishment, the first since 1974, and its concept changed from underground arcade to a place by the station you want to stop at every day. All 69 tenants were rearranged into three zones: yosooi for fashion and goods, yorozu for cosmetics and medicines, and shoku for food. In the central part, devices fitted to the ceiling and elsewhere give off scents that change with the season, making the arcade a more comfortable place.
