Umeda

Umeda is the north end of the city centre, and the three Osaka Metro lines that serve it do not share a station: Umeda on the Midosuji line, Nishi-Umeda on the Yotsubashi line and Higashi-Umeda on the Tanimachi line stand a few minutes apart, joined by the underground streets. Those streets are much of the district. Whity Umeda, Diamor Osaka and the Dojima Underground Shopping Center run beneath the roads, with Osaka Station City and the Hankyu Department Store above them. Kitashinchi, the drinking quarter, is on the south side, and Tsuyunoten Shrine, the Ohatsu Tenjin of the play, is 358 m from Nishi-Umeda.
