Sonezaki Ohatsu Tenjin-dori shopping street lies on the approach to Tsuyunoten Shrine, where The Love Suicides at Sonezaki begins. About a hundred shops large and small stand along it, and besides those going to worship at Ohatsu Tenjin it is busy day and night with the office workers of the Umeda area coming to eat. It has settled, with its history, as a shopping street people feel at home in, in the north of Osaka around Umeda.
