About

The Dojima Underground Shopping Center runs south from JR Kitashinchi Station and the subway's Nishi-Umeda Station, and is known as Dochika, a passage into the office district. About 60 shops line both sides of the roughly 250 m passage: restaurants, food shops, a pharmacy, convenience stores, seal engraving, shoe repair, business suits, massage. It opened in 1966, the year after the Yotsubashi Line began running. Since then it has been busy with office workers going back and forth between Nishi-Umeda and the business quarter of Dojima.
