Osaka-jo Hall

Osaka-jo Hall stands in the greenery of Osaka Castle Park, about 500 metres northeast of the keep. It is the largest hall in western Japan, with an arena that holds 16,000 and a gymnasium-style sub hall that holds 500. It was built in 1983 to mark 400 years since Osaka Castle was built, and its main feature is that the stage can be set up to suit concerts, sport, exhibitions, ceremonies and conventions. The building next door has a convention hall of about 159 square metres for training sessions, seminars, interviews, receptions and examinations, Shiromi Hall of about 827 square metres for exhibitions, and meeting rooms as well.
