つるのはし跡公園

The bridge seems to have been named for the cranes that once came here in numbers. One account holds it to be the old site of Ikaitsu Bridge, built over the Kudara River in the year 323, recorded in the Nihon Shoki under the eleventh month of the fourteenth year of Emperor Nintoku as a bridge laid at Ikaitsu, the place thereupon named Obashi, which would make it the oldest bridge named in the written record. Tsuru-no-hashi carried the old Momodani and Tsuruhashi roads over the old Hirano River, a crossing that was long the key to travel towards Kawachi and Yamato. The cutting of the new Hirano River left it disused in Showa 15 (1940); the stone monument and the four original bridge posts were kept, and the Tsuru-no-hashi Site Park opened in March of Heisei 10 (1998).
