About

Opened in August Showa 14 (1939) on the site of the Fourth Cavalry Regiment. After the war it was requisitioned for a time by the occupation forces, then reopened in Showa 23 (1948) as a sports park, and it is now a general sports park used by many people in the city, with the Tennoji Sports Center, Sanadayama Pool (a 50 m outdoor pool that becomes an ice rink in winter), a baseball ground and tennis courts.
