聖天了徳院

The approach to the Shoten is said to have prospered as the Shoten-dori shopping street from the Edo period, and the temple is still at the centre of the neighbourhood's daily life. It belongs to the Toji branch of Shingon and enshrines Kangiten. Long known and loved as the Shoten of Urae, it was once a busy place. Cherry, wisteria and iris in the grounds are a pleasure to look at, and the Marukado-style gate is a designated cultural property of Osaka prefecture.
