天王寺七坂(逢坂)

Temples and shrines stand thickly in the area from Tanimachi 9-chome to the south and north of the west gate of Shitennoji, and from Tanimachi-suji east to Matsuyamachi-suji. Some of the slopes there are named after them and some after their own shape, and the seven are called the seven slopes of Tennoji. At the top of Kuchinawazaka is a monument to the writer Oda Sakunosuke, and south-east of the Koen Kitaguchi crossing where Matsuyamachi-suji meets Osaka there is an old stone signpost; with the slopes themselves they make up a street scene with its history intact.
