Imazato crossing is a five-way junction where Sennichimae-dori, Tamatsukuri-dori and Imazato-suji meet. Signals were hard to work there at the time, and in Showa 9 a circular island was set in the middle of the crossing for traffic to go round: a roundabout. A traffic survey in Showa 29 found that the growing volume made it hard for people to cross and that the junction had become a difficult point, so the roundabout was taken out and signals installed. It has been an ordinary five-way crossing ever since, but local people still call it the Imazato roundabout.
