About

Completed in Taisho 14 (1925), when Sankyubashi-suji was widened. It drew attention as a building that held offices and housing together. Standing in Semba, it was designed with an eye not only to decoration but to the practical business of bringing trucks and horse carts inside, and that is its main feature. It is a registered tangible cultural property of the state.
