お寺のまち・下寺町と斜面緑地

The Uemachi plateau is a rare place in Osaka where the ground rises and falls, with slopes and viewpoints, and the belt of trees nearly two kilometres long that runs north and south at Yuhigaoka is the most valuable part of it. Shitadera-machi holds the main hall of Shinkoji, built in Showa 4 (1929) and on the national register of tangible cultural properties, and Dairenji, which the listing says was founded in Tensho 19 by Ashikaga Takauji as a place of prayer for the Ashikaga house and was one of the great temples of Kinki.
