About

Tempozan is known as the lowest mountain in Japan, 4.5 m above sea level. The summit itself is buried in the park, but there is a proper sign reading Tempozan Summit. Beside it stands a monument, the Stone of the Place where the Emperor Meiji Reviewed the Fleet, marking the review of the new government's warships at Tempozan in Meiji 1. The park is close to Tempozan Harbour Village and has a quiet name for cherry blossom.
