Fuminosato Shopping Street

A shopping street with about 60 shops, lined with food shops, clothing shops and places to eat. Around the area are Abeno Harukas, which opened fully on 7 March Heisei 26 (2014), as well as Abeno and, Hoop and Abeno Q's Town, and although competition among commercial facilities in the area is fierce, the street stays close to local life, keeps the atmosphere of a good old shopping street, and has worked actively on revitalisation, for example by holding 100-yen shopping street events. It drew sudden attention through the Fuminosato Shopping Street Poster Election, held in Heisei 25 as a joint project of the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the shopping street to bring life to the street and win new customers.
