Tsurumiryokuchi Expo '90 Commemorative Park

An urban park remade on the site of EXPO '90, the International Garden and Greenery Exposition. Its grounds of about 123 hectares are arranged around a large pond where migrating birds rest, and pavilions and gardens from the exposition remain: Sakuya Konohana Kan, which grows and shows 2,600 species and about 15,000 plants under glass, a Japanese garden, an international garden and Hanamizuki Hall, the Tsurumi Sports Center. Added since are a riding park, ball grounds and athletic fields, sports facilities such as a heated pool, recreation facilities such as a barbecue area and a campsite, and places to learn about environmental issues such as the nature observation garden. Entry is free apart from some paid facilities. Flowers and plants of each season can be seen through the year, and events are held.
