Konohana Bridge

Konohana Bridge was completed in Heisei 2 (1990) as a bridge linking Hokko in Konohana Ward, part of the built-up city, with the artificial island of Maishima, and it is a long bridge of 1.7 km. The main span takes a form called a mono-cable self-anchored suspension bridge, rare even worldwide, with a main span of 300 m in which a single main cable carries the deck. The name Konohana Bridge was given so that it would stand as a symbol of Konohana Ward and be familiar to the city's people. The view from the bridge is splendid, and it is one of the bridges that represent the Port of Osaka.
