    "description_en": "The place where Japan's first Koshin deity is said to have appeared; the principal image, Shomen Kongo Doji, is a hidden one. On the koshin day in the first month of Taiho 1 (701) the priest Gohan prayed with all his heart to save the many people suffering in an epidemic, and a child appeared as the messenger of Taishakuten and showed the power to turn away disaster and illness. For thirteen centuries since, a wish made to the image on a koshin day or the evening before it has been held certain to be granted. The first koshin day of the year is the grandest, with a reading of the Great Perfection of Wisdom sutra the day before and a great saito goma fire on the day itself. On koshin days stalls fill the grounds, among them the north-facing konnyaku. Take the blessing at the hall of the three monkeys, it is said, and what hurts is healed at once.",
    "description_ko": "일본에서 처음으로 고신존이 나타난 곳으로, 본존은 쇼멘 곤고 도지(비불)예요. 다이호 원년(701) 정월 초이레 경신일에 고한 승도가 역병으로 괴로워하는 사람들을 구하려 한마음으로 하늘에 빌자 제석천의 사자로 동자가 나타나 재앙을 물리치고 병을 없애는 영험을 보였다고 해요. 그 뒤 1300년 동안 경신일과 그 전날(요이코신)에 본존께 빌면 소원 하나는 반드시 이뤄진다고 믿어 왔어요. 첫 경신일이 가장 성대해서, 전날에는 대반야 전독회, 당일에는 사이토 대호마 공양을 올려요. 경신 재일에는 경내에 '기타무키 곤냐쿠' 같은 노점이 들어서 붐벼요. 세 원숭이를 모신 산엔도에서 가지를 받으면 아픈 데가 금세 낫는다고 전해져요.",
