    "description_ja": "1700年ほど前、この大隅島に離宮を営んでおられた応神天皇（大隅宮：おおすみのみや）が崩御の後、里人が帝の御徳を慕い宮址に神祠を建立したのが起源とされている。ある年に淀川が氾濫し賀茂（かもの）明神の御神体が漂着して霊光を放ち、里人はこれを迎えて産土神（うぶすなのかみ）に合祀し、社名を賀茂神祠と改め社殿を2つに分けた。3,000坪以上の境内には杉や松が繁り、社殿も壮麗であったが、明治初年に周囲を民有地に払い下げた。そして、応神天皇を主祭神とし、名も大隅神社と改められた。境内に狛犬や灯籠が多いのは、稲生（いなう）神社などを合祀したためである。明治37年（1904年）に幣殿が設けられ、拝殿が再興改築されており、拝殿前には狛犬の列がある。",
    "description_en": "About 1,700 years ago Emperor Ojin kept a detached palace, the Osumi no Miya, on this island of Osumi, and after he died the villagers, who revered his virtue, built a shrine on the site of the palace. That is held to be the origin. One year the Yodo River flooded and the sacred body of Kamo Myojin drifted ashore giving off a holy light. The villagers took it in and enshrined it together with the local birth deity, changed the shrine name to Kamo Shinshi and divided the hall in two. The grounds, more than 3,000 tsubo or about a hectare, were thick with cedar and pine and the buildings were splendid, but in the first years of Meiji the surrounding land was sold off into private hands. Emperor Ojin was then made the principal deity and the name changed to Osumi Shrine. There are many komainu and stone lanterns in the precincts because Inau Shrine and others were merged into it. A hall of offerings was added in 1904 and the worship hall was restored and rebuilt, with a row of komainu standing in front of it.",
    "description_ko": "1700년쯤 전 이 오스미섬에 별궁(오스미노미야)을 두었던 오진 천황이 세상을 떠난 뒤, 마을 사람들이 천황의 덕을 기려 궁터에 사당을 세운 것이 시작이라고 해요. 어느 해에는 요도가와가 범람해 가모 명신의 신체가 떠내려와 신령한 빛을 냈고, 마을 사람들이 이를 맞아들여 우부스나가미(고장의 수호신)와 함께 모시면서 사호를 '가모 신사'로 바꾸고 사전을 둘로 나눴어요. 3000평이 넘는 경내에는 삼나무와 소나무가 우거지고 사전도 웅장했지만, 메이지 초년에 주위를 민유지로 불하했어요. 그리고 오진 천황을 주제신으로 삼고 이름도 오스미 신사로 바뀌었어요. 경내에 고마이누와 등롱이 많은 것은 이나우 신사 등을 합사했기 때문이에요. 1904년에 폐전을 짓고 배전을 다시 세웠는데, 배전 앞에는 고마이누가 줄지어 있어요.",
