    "description_ja": "土佐堀川・中之島公園・堂島川をまたがる堺筋に架けられている、全長約190mの橋。橋詰の4ヶ所に、阿（あ）と吽（うん）それぞれ2体の石造のライオン像が配置されていることから、「ライオン橋」の愛称でも親しまれている。江戸時代、この橋は堺筋の西隣にある難波橋筋に架かっていた木橋で、北詰は樋之上町、南詰は北浜一丁目、橋長約207m、橋幅約5.7mの、幕府直轄の公儀橋だった。反り橋だったため、周辺の16橋や遠くの山々を眺めることができ、橋の上は花火見物や夕涼みの一等桟敷となるなど、絶好の行楽地としてにぎわっていたそうだ。明治45年（1912）、市電堺筋線を北浜から北の天神橋六丁目へと延伸する際に、現在の位置に移された。華麗な照明灯、中央の中之島公園へ降りる広い石造りの階段など、都市景観の創造が図られた設計が見事。近くに、大阪証券取引所をはじめとする、近代のレトロビルも群集している。",
    "description_en": "Naniwa Bridge carries Sakaisuji over the Tosabori River, Nakanoshima Park and the Dojima River, and is about 190 m long in all. Stone lion statues stand at the four ends of the bridge, two in the 'a' form and two in the 'un' form, so it is also known by the nickname Lion Bridge. In the Edo period this was a wooden bridge on Naniwabashi-suji, the street just west of Sakaisuji, with its north end in Hinoue-cho and its south end in Kitahama 1-chome. It was about 207 m long and 5.7 m wide, and it was a kogi-bashi, a bridge under the direct control of the shogunate. Because it arched upward, people on it could look out over the 16 bridges nearby and the mountains in the distance, and the bridge is said to have been a first-class seat for watching fireworks and taking the evening cool, busy as a place to spend leisure time. In Meiji 45 (1912) it was moved to its present position when the municipal tram line on Sakaisuji was extended from Kitahama north to Tenjinbashi 6-chome. The design, with its ornate lamps and the wide stone stairway in the middle that leads down to Nakanoshima Park, is a fine piece of work aimed at creating an urban landscape. Modern retro buildings, among them the Osaka Securities Exchange, cluster nearby.",
