    "description_ja": "皇紀元年より３年前（約2700年前）、神武天皇が九州から難波津に到着の折、大阪湾に浮かぶ石山碕（現大阪城を含む一帯）に生島神、足島神を祀られたのがはじまりとされる。中世、神域内に石山本願寺が建立されたが、これは信長との石山合戦の後、寺内から出火し焼失してしまった。その後、天正11年（1583年）に豊臣秀吉が大阪城を築く地を同地と定めたため、現在の地に生國魂神社は遷された。明治維新後も官幣大社に列せられ、天下の名社として崇敬を集めたが、明治45年（1912年）の「南の大火」で炎上。大正3年（1914年）に国費により再建される。昭和20年（1945年）第1次大阪大空襲により灰塵に帰すも、同25年(1950年) には占領下にもかかわらず市民の赤誠により再建。翌26年(1951年)にジェーン台風により倒壊するも、またもや市民が中心となり同31年(1956年)に再建された。",
    "description_en": "The shrine's beginning is placed three years before the first year of the imperial era, about 2,700 years ago, when Emperor Jimmu arrived at Naniwazu from Kyushu and enshrined the deities Ikushima and Tarushima on Ishiyamazaki, then standing in Osaka Bay, the area that includes the present Osaka Castle. In the medieval period Ishiyama Honganji was built inside the sacred ground, and it burned down when fire broke out within the temple after the Ishiyama war against Nobunaga. In 1583 Toyotomi Hideyoshi chose that same ground for Osaka Castle, so Ikukunitama Shrine was moved to its present site. After the Meiji Restoration it was ranked a kanpei taisha, a shrine that received offerings from the imperial court, and revered as one of the great shrines of the country, but it burned in the Great Fire of the South in 1912 and was rebuilt with national funds in 1914. It was reduced to ashes in the first great Osaka air raid of 1945 and rebuilt in 1950 by the sincerity of the city's people, even under occupation. It collapsed in the Jane Typhoon the following year, 1951, and again, with citizens leading the work, was rebuilt in 1956.",
