    "description_ja": "創建は6世紀中ごろと伝えられ、蛭子（えびす）大神を祭神とし、「キタのえべっさん」として、ミナミの今宮戎神社とともに親しまれています。止美連（とみのむらじ）吉雄が、蛭子大神のお告げによって浪華堀江の芦辺で玉を拾い、これを神霊の代わりとして難波富島に祀ったのが始まりとされますが、文和（ぶんな）年間（1352～55）、この地に移築再興しました。以来、蛭子社・恵美須社・堀川戎社と呼ばれ信仰されました。十日戎の日には参詣客が境内に入りきらないほどの混雑を見せ「商売繫盛で、ササ持って来い!」という景気のいい掛け声が、普段はひっそりとしている境内に響き渡ります。この他、摂社の「榎木神社」は一般的に“地車稲荷（地車吉兵衛稲荷）”と称され、願いが叶うと小さな地車の模型や絵馬を奉納されるため、大勢の方が来られます。",
    "description_en": "The shrine is said to have been founded in the middle of the 6th century. It enshrines Hiruko no Okami and is known as the Ebessan of Kita, alongside Imamiya Ebisu Shrine in Minami. It is said to have begun when Tomi no Muraji Yoshio, following an oracle of Hiruko no Okami, picked up a jewel on the reed shore of Naniwa Horie and enshrined it at Naniwa Tomishima in place of the deity's spirit; in the Bunna era (1352-55) the shrine was moved and rebuilt on this site. Since then it has been worshipped under the names Hiruko-sha, Ebisu-sha and Horikawa Ebisu-sha. On the days of Toka Ebisu the crowd of worshippers is too large for the precincts to hold, and the brisk cry of Shobai hanjo de sasa motte koi! rings through grounds that are normally quiet. The auxiliary Enoki Shrine, generally called the Danjiri Inari, or Danjiri Kichibei Inari, draws a great many people, who dedicate small model danjiri floats and votive tablets when their wishes come true.",
